什么是eMule社区版
官方eMule长时间未更新，上一个官方正式版还是在2010年发布的0.50a。因而有用户fork（复制派生）了官版eMule，做了必要的更新，在eMule官方论坛讨论与发布了社区版（community version）的eMule。

What is eMule Community Edition? The official eMule has not been updated for a long time. The last official version was 0.50a, which was released in 2010. Therefore, some users fork (copy and derive) the official version of eMule, make necessary updates, and discuss and release the community version of eMule in the official eMule forum.
The community version of the GitHub code repository is here. The latest community version and the official version in 2020 are listed on the download page of the official website at the same time, which is regarded as the "officially recognized" version.

What is eMule (electric mule)

How often does eMule update?
eMule is not updated and upgraded regularly, usually once a week to three weeks, but this is not always the case. :)

eMule allows you to use very complex Boolean operators to query, making you more flexible to search for files.
Through the message and friend system, you can send messages to other users and then add them as friends. In your friends list, you can check whether a friend is online.
With the built-in IRC client, you can download and chat with eMule users all over the world.
