The Chromium-based Vivaldi browser has released version 5.2, which introduces features such as sidebar reading lists, privacy statistics, and a desktop version available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
Sidebar Reading List
View and manage what you want to read in this slide-out sidebar (panel), which also contains a series of buttons including Bookmarks, Downloads, History, Notes, Window Panels, Translations, and the Web Panel.
Manage lists intuitively: double-click on a selected item and the corresponding page will immediately open in a new tab.
Easy Search and Filter: The search bar in the panel helps filter your Reading List, identifying URLs and words in page titles.
Efficient sorting and organization: Menu sorting has the option to reorder the list by title, reading status, date updated, or address.
You can use the right-click menu to open the selected item (in a new tab), copy its address, mark the entry as read, or delete a saved item from the list, and right-click to quickly add a site to the reading list:
At the same time, this feature supports synchronization on Android phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and all PCs.
Privacy Statistics
Ad & Tracker Blocker can see the number of ads and trackers blocked from tracking, click the shield icon on the address bar to see ad and tracker blocker statistics for each site you visit.
There is also the Privacy Details page, which provides three functions:
Per-site breakdown of trackers and ads
A breakdown of each "tracking company"
Reset accumulated privacy statistics
