12月30日，有媒体从广汽埃安官方获悉，旗下全新车型——埃安AION LX PLUS将于1月5日正式上市，该车最大的不同就是搭在了“海绵硅负极片电池”，续航里程达到了1008km（CLTC工况）。
作为新能源车型，它也采用了全封闭前脸设计，但是在一些细节上与广汽埃安AION LX有些区别，比如它拥有比埃安AION LX更大的头灯尺寸，并且车头下方也进行了重新布局，让下保险杠运动风格更加明显。

车身尺寸方面，埃安AION LX PLUS长宽高分别为4835/1935/1685mm，轴距为2920mm，在车长方面比埃安AION LX要更长一些，其他参数则保持一致，应该是为了更大的电池组而进行的调整。
