次年,Zen 2主要设计师之一、AMD企业院士David Suggs在个人档案中提到已加入Zen 5团队,操刀研发设计。当年10月,AMD CTO Mark Papermaster对外确认,Zen 4、Zen 5正由不同的团队独立开发。

既然互不干扰,这么在底层架构上出现巨大差异,似乎也是情理之中的事情。

RedGamingTech在最新爆料中给出了Zen 5的偷跑细节,包括首次采用类似Intel 12代酷睿的大小核混合架构、其中锐龙9系为纯大核、对应的锐龙8000桌面CPU最高可到32核等。

性能方面,Zen 4之于Zen 3的IPC增幅在19%左右,而Zen 5之于Zen 4居然要提升到30%,可谓相当恐怖。

另外,Zen 5完全重构了缓存部分,L1、L2和L3的容量都将大幅增加。

虽然Zen 5还没有明确时间点,但考虑到Intel下半年就会迭代13代酷睿Raptor Lake,明年跟进14代酷睿Metoer Lake,这势必加速AMD竞品的开发进程,且拭目以待吧。

In terms of performance, the IPC increase of Zen 4 to Zen 3 is around 19%, while Zen 5 to Zen 4 has to increase to 30%, which is quite scary.
