Linux Mint 21.1 has been released, this version is based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, mainly some user interface adjustments, bug fixes and performance improvements.
There have been noticeable changes to the theme's appearance, such as moving away from soft green tones to bright yellow folder icons with a blue diagonal line in the bottom corner.

Linux Mint 21 brings some new features to the driver manager and software source tools, such as the ability to run the driver manager in user mode (no root password required) and work offline. This release also introduces an ISO validation tool, accessible by right-clicking on an ISO image in Nemo.

Additionally, this release fixes a number of known issues, such as addressing a freeze during boot: Some graphics cards don't play nicely with the open source drivers in Linux Mint. If Linux Mint freezes on boot, use the "compatibility mode" boot option.
Another noteworthy change in Linux Mint 21.1 is the introduction of a Windows-style "Show Desktop" button.
